ACR Electronics AISLink CB1

Class B transceiver can operate on silent mode.

ACR Electronics has added a Class B Automatic Identification System (AIS) transceiver to its line of marine-safety electronics. The AISLink CB1 sends and receives wireless navigation data, including vessel name, position, speed over ground, heading and rate of turn. The unit has been approved for worldwide use and networks with multifunction devices using NMEA 0183 and 2000 interfaces. The waterproof CB1 comes with an internal GPS antenna and can operate on silent mode (so other boats don’t see your position). It costs $950.
