ICAST 2012 Sneak Preview

An advance peek at hot new fishing gear available in coming months

June 29, 2012
While most anglers look forward to Father’s Day or Christmas to sample new fishing toys, the tackle industry unlocks the new-product treasure chest for dealers and media in mid-July. That’s the month manufacturers come together for the premier U.S. tackle trade show — the International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades (ICAST). This year’s event occurs July 11 to 13 in Orlando, Florida. To give you an early look at some of the cool new stuff your favorite manufacturers plan to debut, we asked our sources to step forward with just a few details. Here are 14 soon-to-be-retailed tackle toys to look for in the coming months.
