St. Croix Legend Surf Rods
St. Croix says its engineers performed a significant upgrade to its top-of-the-line Legend Surf-series rods, a collection that now features 14 models (10 spinning and four casting). All come with Integrated Poly Curve tooling technology for continuous-curve tapers. St. Croix makes the high-modulus/high-strain SCIV graphite blanks using its Fortified Resin System, which keeps the fibers in alignment throughout curing. The new Legend rods come with Fuji Torzite (ceramic) surf guides with titanium frames, neoprene handles and Fuji DPS reel seats. Available in medium to heavy actions and in lengths from 7 to 12 feet, they cost $510 to $690.
