Crevalle makes 24- and 26-foot standard and open-model bay boats — the category 28 percent of our respondents said they’d seek in their next saltwater boat.

Crevalle’s boats avoid hassles, such as tired eyes, deck and hatch tangles, and wiring woes. Oh yeah, dead bait and fish too.

The company’s second-generation position-control hatch hinges eliminate line- and net-tangling gas struts, and hold the hatches open without entanglements.

Electrical systems include all tinned copper wiring, with functions printed every 12 inches, and ABYC wiring best practices few boat companies follow. And all connections are sealed against saltwater corrosion.

Livewells use flow designs inspired by commercial saltwater aquariums to minimize dead water and maximize available dissolved oxygen, keeping bait feisty to make quarry bite.

The company prides itself on its deep cockpits for safe, dry rides — what 70 percent of survey respondents demand and the top item on their shared list.

The boats have a generous menu of options available, including a choice of three outboard brands.

Named 2017 Florida Small Manufacturer of the Year, Crevalle is located in central Florida, with a variety of testing waters nearby where the company can “put our boats through their paces in the same environments that our customers will.”

Crevalle 26 Bay
Crevalle's 26 Bay offers extra power and extra room compared with its smaller sibling, the 24 Bay, the company says — zip and space that fishers and families can appreciate. Like its siblings, it features Crevalle's new fiberglass leaning post, with added storage capacity. (More storage was a survey request.)

The standard post includes a sink, two cup holders, two rear tackle-storage spaces, three front glove boxes, and a removable premium Igloo cooler that tucks under the leaning post.

Step up to the Deluxe model and get two more cup holders, two additional rear tackle-storage spaces, plus a drawer, a center armrest, and an upgraded, slide-mounted Yeti cooler.

Anglers will be eager to put into use the 26 Bay’s two 28-gallon insulated release wells with dual-jet aeration, a protected standpipe, and blue gelcoat. Livewells and the baitwell/cooler are LED-illuminated.

The lockable rod storage for 10 rods, plus undergunwale storage for four more, meets or exceeds the needs of more than 87 percent of survey respondents.

This family-friendly boat has two removable 72-quart coolers. Options include swim platforms, Bimini top, in-console port-a-potty, forward seating, and removable ski pylon.
