2016 Fishing Boat Buyers Guide: Pursuit C 238

If you’re ready for a center console, this 24-footer’s ready for you

Pursuit calls its new C 238 an entry-level center-console, but it’s a grand entry to that fishing boat format, with the signature luxury touches of a Pursuit.

The C 238 comes with a fiberglass hardtop with overhead glove box and LED lights, a walk-in console with head, and a tempered-glass windshield. The forward lounge seats accept optional backrests. Ahead of the console, a forward-facing seat also serves as a large door to the head and mechanical room within.

A pair of seats at the helm convert into leaning posts, and other seating is generously appointed throughout the boat — but it’s never in the way of the fishing.

Powered by a single Yamaha F250, the C 238 cruises at 26.4 mph, with a range of 280 miles. If you like, power up to an F300.

Standard features include five-year hull and deck structural, and blister-free, warrantees, trim tabs with indicator lights and auto-retract, stainless-steel rod holders, and under-gunwale rod storage lockers port and starboard. Like the fire extinguisher, anchor and rode come with the boat.
