Winner of the electronics category at the 2015 International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades, the Humminbird Helix 7, with a 7-inch display, is big brother to the company’s 5-inch versions introduced late last year. The 7 Series comes in five versions, including the top-of-the-line SI GPS (with side imaging, down imaging, traditional sonar, GPS and plotter), a traditional-sonar-only unit, a down-imaging-only unit, a plotter/sounder, and a down-imaging and traditional-sonar unit with a GPS and plotter. The SI GPS offers 100 feet of side-imaging range and 1,500 feet of depth capability. The screen provides 800-by-480-pixel resolution. The series ranges in price from $399 to $699.
