Raymarine introduced its new, multifaceted CHIRP-powered Dragonfly Sonar/GPS with DownVision Sonar Imaging at press time during the Miami International Boat Show in February. (Visit sportfishingmag.com/dragonfly to see a video about the sea trial.) Dragonfly uses two CHIRP sonar channels to simultaneously view traditional sonar and high-resolution imaging side by side. The 5.7-inch display and $649.99 to $719.99 price tag (including transducer) make Dragonfly attractive to coastal anglers (max depth is 600 feet). An intuitive uni-controller allows anglers to dial through various options. The unit also comes with a 50-channel GPS sensor, and is available with Navionics Silver or Gold charts.
