This year’s FishStock had 22 teams head offshore off Ponce Inlet to start the 39th New Smyrna Beach Striker Offshore Tournament and the FishStock fishing festival. At the same time, the 13th Annual New Smyrna Beach Redfish and Trout challenge started with a bit more enthusiasm, since there are plenty of places to fish inshore out of the wind.
In total 142 redfish and 46 trout we caught during the tournament. The live redfish caught in the tournament were put in the Hell’s Bay Boatworks resuscitation tank and released in fantastic condition.
Despite the windy conditions, 98 fishing teams and 331 participants competed in the FishStock tournaments. The weather was perfect for the FishStock festival with thousands in attendance to enjoy the boat show, live music, IGFA Junior Angler KidStock seminars, expert seminars from the Chevy Florida Insider Fishing Report TV show professionals, Raymarine Electronics Display, CCA auction, FishStock 5k fun run and tournament weigh-ins.
