Grady 336 Canyon First Glance

This boat handles far more rough sea conditions than your body can.

You’ve heard of a wolf in sheep’s clothing? Well, the new Grady 336 Canyon center console constitutes a tank in yacht disguise! This boat handles far more rough sea conditions than your body can. Add to that the incredible fishing features that set it apart from virtually every other builder and you begin to see why Grady-White consistently succeeds and wins awards.

So what sets this boat apart from the rest? Start with an exceptionally clean bow area that allows you to easily step up onto the between-seats insert and throw a cast net. The seats double as insulated fish boxes that drain directly overboard. The anchor protrudes through the stem, and Grady hides the attendant windlass under the foredeck for a very clean installation.

Moving aft, Grady’s console sports a real double berth with rod storage for six and a VacuFlush head. So you truly can spend the night in relative comfort out at the model’s namesake offshore canyons.

While the huge helm, with Grady’s signature electronics module-on-rams, affords enough space to mount several large displays, the real heart of the 336 Canyon is just aft of the helm seats: Grady’s mammoth leaning-post/tackle-center unit. Containing a 45-gallon livewell with full-vertical-column in-flow, the module also features rod holders, an optional second livewell (an insulated drink box on the standard-equipment list), and loads of assorted tackle and tool storage.

Finally, Grady’s fanatical fishing staff made sure that this qualified as one of its best fishing boats ever. The level deck from stem to stern makes 360-degree fish fighting much easier and safer. The Herculean foldaway transom seat provides comfy rest underway and then disappears to assure that your rod tips reach past the outboards. Toe kicks, rod holders and downrigger-ball holders all come standard. You’ll have little to add to this boat to accommodate your hard-core fishing needs.
