Every year at the international tackle trade show in Orlando, Florida, visitors see thousands of fishing lures on display. This year, at ICAST 2017, the Japanese lure manufacturer Sea Falcon found a new way to show off its products, particularly poppers, stick baits and metal jigs. The lures are all hand-made and painted with remarkable finishes, some of which struck me as art that would qualify as a desk ornament or office showpiece. Sea Falcon's moving "sushi bar" conveyor showcased their lures, with Sea Falcon staff from Japan dressed as sushi chefs. Who said fishing lures can't be simultaneously fun, beautiful and effective?
