AFTCO Gives Back in a Big Way

Tackle-and-clothing manufacturer pledges to conservation the $42,000 saved by its bare-bones booth at ICAST trade show.

AFTCO’s booth at this year’s ICAST event was minimized and sparse to give more money back to conservation groups. The clothing company saved $20,000 in the booth setup and AFTCO made an additional $22,000 contribution — 10 percent of the company’s profits. The conservation partners — each receiving a $7,000 check — are the American Sportfishing Association, Coastal Conservation Association, Center for Sportfishing Policy, Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation, Hubbs Seaworld Research Institute and the International Game Fish Association.
