Use a Common Bottle Brush to Detail Your Boat

A bottle-brush comes in handy for cleaning nooks and crannies on a boat.

Every few trips, fishing boats need a deep-cleaning, and that means getting into tough-to-reach nooks and crannies where dirt and grime can collect and grow crusty. Sport Fishing contributor Capt. Spud Woodward suggests using a rounded-head scrubber such as the OXO Good Grip bottle brush (about $6), along with soap and water, for such detailing. Available at stores such as Bed, Bath & Beyond, this little brush lets Woodward scrub inside rod holders, in the tight spots around cleats, and in the recesses of onboard drink holders.
