West Marine announced that it’s looking for Miami-area, marine-focused nonprofits to participate in its upcoming “Cruising for a Cause” charity night, being held in conjunction with the grand opening of its Aventura, Florida store. Set against the backdrop of St. Patrick’s Day, Thursday, Mar. 17, from 5-8 p.m., the event will take place inside the new store, located at 17641 Biscayne Blvd.

In keeping with its mission of supporting local nonprofits across the country, West Marine is eager to work with Miami-area charities that serve the local boating, fishing, paddling, sailing and marine environmental communities for this exciting event.

Purchasing the $10 ticket allows “Cruising for a Cause” attendees to enjoy food, beverages, live entertainment and several raffle giveaways. One hundred percent of the proceeds collected from ticket and raffle sales for the event will be split among local participating nonprofits.
