Troll-Master, a Florida company that says it has serviced all major downrigger brands for more than 10 years, has introduced the Seahorse, a design inspired by Penn's once-dominant Fathom-Master manual downriggers. Seahorse downriggers come in eight different configurations — with a swivel base and/or a gimbal mount, and with or without an extended boom. The spools feature 200 feet of high-grade stainless cable; the drag system allows for one-hand operation when lowering or stopping the downrigger weight. Troll-Master says it will also continue to support and service original Penn downriggers. Seahorse prices range from $269 to $465.
