West Marine has moved its Seattle store to a larger location, with more than 24,000- square-feet of space, in order to better serve area boaters and anglers. Some of the store’s new offerings include an expanded state-of-the-art electronics and marine audio selection, new bait shack service center, and the retailer’s largest rigging shop in the fleet. The flagship will also be a regional hub for West Marine Pro, the wholesale business that supports the region’s marine businesses and delivers a broad selection of core boating products.
“We are extremely excited and proud of our new Seattle West Marine,” said Lynn Gambrell, store manager. “The new store is nearly double the size of our old location and will provide our customers with more boating products than ever before, allowing us to better outfit, educate, and inspire boaters of all types.”
The public was invited to celebrate the grand opening of the new location, 1400 NW 45th Street Seattle, WA 98107, on Dec. 7-8 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Throughout the day, visitors were able to check out the two-story store while participating in giveaways, learning from seminars, and connecting with vendors on site. Guests also enjoyed complimentary refreshments and live music.
The fun was not limited to adult customers, there was a BlueFuture Kids Zone with activities for kids including knot tying and puzzle making.

The grand opening also took place during West Marine’s holiday promotion and a percentage of the day’s sales was donated to the Corinthian Yacht Club of Seattle, Sail Sand Point, and West Marine’s BlueFuture program.
