Pelagic has introduced its PMG lens technology, featuring polarized mineral glass, a material developed specifically for use in saltwater conditions. PMG uses a proprietary blend of minerals and rare-earth elements to produce these optically correct glass lenses. Pelagic employs a polarization process that dramatically reduces haze, glare and unwanted reflection. A special scratch-protection system offers greater surface hardness. PMG lenses come in blue mirror, green mirror or gray, and can be fitted in any of four frame styles in matte black, bluehelix, silverhelix or mattetort. The PMG sunglasses cost $229 to $269.
