For hot summer days on the water, Huk recently released its Airweight Collection, a line of super lightweight garments to keep you protected and comfortable in the summer sun.

The Airweight collection is crafted from an ultra-light 90 percent polyester, 10 percent spandex blend. Built for performance during summertime scorchers, these shirts are breathable and keep you cool with moisture transport technology, while providing SPF 40 sun protection.

The stretchy fabric, side-panel detailing and raglan sleeves allow for a full range of motion while casting, paddling or poling. Anti-microbial properties keep you feeling fresh and less stinky.

The collection includes both solid colors and bold KC Scott exclusive artwork. The KC Scott camo pattern, available in a brown and green Sand Camo or a blue and white Sky Camo, is reminiscent of those cool old-school duck-blind camo patterns that have made a big-time comeback recently.

The collection includes hoodies, long-sleeve crews and quarter zips for men and kids. These shirts are perfect for late-summer fishing adventures and range from $40-$55. I recently tried out the Men’s Airweight Hoodie in brutal Georgia heat. It performed as advertised, providing sun protection for my upper body and head, while the lightweight, breathable fabric kept me cool.

Hoods can sometimes feel stifling in extreme heat, but the light, soft fabric and loose fit of this hood give it a make-your-own-shade feel. This is the shirt you want, especially during those airless summer days on a sand or grass flat.
