Using its exclusive Glatech construction, Daiwa has designed 23 jigging and general-purpose boat rods for the Saltiga G line. Glatech sandwiches unidirectional fiberglass (tip to butt) between 90degree inner and outer layers of graphite. Daiwa says the resulting blanks offer extreme resilience with backbone and lifting power. The spinning and conventional rods range in length from 5 feet, 9 inches to 7 feet for line classes from 10- to 20- and up to 80- to 150-pound test. Components include Fuji reel seats; rigid-frame Fuji silicon nitride or Hardloy guides; padded butt caps, nylon gimbals or aluminum gimbals; EVA or Quick Grip hard grips. Prices range from $149.95 to $189.95. Call 562-802-9589, or visit www.daiwa.com.
