The organization Keep America Fishing is asking the assistance of sport-fishing enthusiasts in the fight for the Bipartisan Sportsmen’s Act of 2015. The omnibus legislation would help angler access by opening up more lands for fishing and hunting, and protecting both habitat and anglers’ right to fish.
The Act failed to pass last year and, despite having solid support from both sides of the aisle in Congress, remains in what KAF calls “a holding pattern.” The organization says anglers can help simply by clicking here and signing the online petition to “tell Congress to get this important legislation passed.”
The act has the support of many groups such as The Nature Conservancy, American Sportfishing Association, Center for Coastal Conservation, Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership and others.
