Exercise Your Freedom and Take Action to Pass the Bipartisan Sportsmen’s Act of 2014

Keep America Fishing urges the Senate to vote yes on the Sportsmen’s Act.

Our founding fathers created a government that gives citizens a voice. This July 4th, take a moment and speak up to increase your opportunities for better fishing.

Do you know of a river or lake that – if given the proper attention – could be a great fishing hole once again? All across the country, fishermen can point to waterways that are in decline. Next week, Congress has an opportunity to improve fisheries habitat conservation nationwide by including the National Fish Habitat Conservation Act as part of the Bipartisan Sportsmen’s Act. By focusing resources on our nation’s waterways that need help and restoring them, you will have access to more places to fish than ever before.

****Tell your Senators how you want them to vote before July 7th.****

On July 7th, the Senate is expected to begin a series of votes on amendments to the Bipartisan Sportsmen’s Act, a monumental package of legislative provisions to enhance and protect fishing and hunting access. One amendment that the Senate will consider adding to the bill is the National Fish Habitat Conservation Act. It’s an additional commitment to improve fish populations all across the country and increases your chance for great fishing in your local fishing hole.

It’s a great start, but now the bill needs to get passed – ****your voice will help****.

Please join your fellow anglers and urge your Senators to ensure the National Fish Habitat Conservation Act is included with the Bipartisan Sportsmen’s Act of 2014, and that together, this legislation is put to work for your fishing future.
