Making the Most of Magazine Racks

Magazine racks can store fishing regulations, reference books and owner’s manuals in addition to publications.

Use your magazine racks for more than just magazines. Jim Hendricks

You might not read magazines like Sport Fishing on your boat, but a magazine rack in the cabin or inside the console can still come in handy for stowing items such as tide logs, fishing regulations, reference books, owner’s manuals, small charts and legal documents such as your boat registration. I mounted a SeaTeak magazine rack (about $60) on a bulkhead in the cabin and use it all the time. I even use the rack to stash items like flashlights, sunglass cases and tubes of sunscreen. You might even keep a few copies of Sport Fishing there for entertainment and enlightenment.
