Grady-White lays claim to impressive accolades from our survey: the most consumer evaluations, a boatload of top-flight scores and an emphasis on its brand reputation, customer service and resale value.

The praise, in fact, traces the arc of boat ownership, from catching the eye to handing the keys to another sure-to-be-pleased Grady-White boater. No wonder it’s nearly impossible to visit a harbor, port or fishing ground and not see a Grady-White.

A Grady’s distinctive flared bow nods to its origins in North Carolina, where the boats are still built. Now, as then, a Grady-White boat exudes rugged elegance.

Today’s Grady-White begins with a SeaV2 hull, a continuously variable V-hull — designed for Grady-White by C. Raymond Hunt Associates — built to deliver a soft and stable ride. That hull placed first in each of J.D. Power and Associates’ eight marine studies, and every year, it earns NMMA Consumer Satisfaction Index recognition.

There are no two points on a SeaV2 hull at which the deadrise is the same — from 20 degrees at transom, sharpening to 30 degrees amidships and more than 50 degrees at the stem. Thank the deeper vee forward for a softer ride at sea, and the moderate transom (and wide chines) for stability at rest and trolling. Tracking is precise, even in quartering and following seas.

GRADY-WHITE FREEDOM 325

The new Grady-White Freedom 325 is among longer offerings in the famed brand’s dual-console Freedom line, a versatile boat ready for offshore fishing, cruising and entertaining.

Beamy and spacious at nearly 11 feet wide, the 325’s roomy port console contains a head, sink and storage closet, and the starboard mate a cushioned berth. The integrated hardtop sports LED spreader and recessed lights, a flush-mount electronics area, rod holders, outrigger plates and an electrically retractable shade.

Staying in touch and entertained is made easier by 5-volt USB and 12-volt accessory outlets, and Captain Grady delivers a digital boat systems and operations guide to your iPad or iPhone.

The hardcore angler will approve of the 325’s two insulated fish/ice boxes, one 180-quart and the other a massive, lighted 254-quart. Both drain overboard. There’s also a 32-gallon livewell with overboard drain. The fuel capacity of 288 gallons begs for a long adventure.

Creature comforts? How about an electromechanically extendable helm bench seat and aft-facing lounge seat, plus additional seating throughout the boat.

To match your taste and plans, you can add options such as a bow thruster, wet bar with refrigerator, diesel generator, air conditioning, seating upgrades, international electrical conversion package or outrigger kit.
