Alutecnos has designed a 12-pound-class Albacore Veloce to complement its larger 20-pound-class Veloce single-speed conventional reel. The 27.5-ounce, anodized-aluminum Veloce 12 features a gear ratio of 6.2-to-1, a single disc brake and more than 25 pounds of drag with free spool. The new Veloce can handle 930 yards of 12-pound monofilament, 600 yards of 20-pound mono or 500 yards of 65-pound Spectra. Cost is $613. Visit www.alutecnos.com.
