2019 Top Charter Boat Captains

Here is your chance to give your favorite charter captain national recognition.

Odds are you've fished with charter captains whether offshore skippers or inshore guides whom you felt were outstanding. Now SF offers you a chance to give them national recognition as one of Sport Fishing's Top Charter Captains of the Year.

Sport Fishing is again this year accepting nominations for great captains and guides who fish salt waters starting September 1 until September 30 or whenever 60 unique nominees are received, so nominate your captain below now!

We will allow 30 days for voting starting October 1. The five captains with the greatest number of votes will be our 2019 Top Charter Captains of the Year. Each will receive a King Sailfish Mounts miniature replica mount with an engraved plaque, and in addition, each winner will be announced and spotlighted in a special gallery on sportfishingmag.com.

To see the full list and special spotlight galleries of past Top Charter Captain winners scroll past the nomination form below.

Things to Keep in Mind
Multiple nominations are unnecessary and do not help a candidate; one good, thoughtful nomination is sufficient to move to the voting phase.

*Contest rules preclude repeat winners in successive years, so captains who won in 2017 (the last year of the contest) are ineligible; all others can be nominated.

*However, each captain must be nominated individually, even if part of a team or family operation.

*Note: this is a 2019 revision to the rules and differs from past contest rules.
