The new 2005, the eighth bay boat in Pathfinder’s lineup, represents the most comprehensive model mix the brand has ever offered, the company says. Designed to bring bigger bay-boat amenities to a smaller package, the 20-foot-5-inch 2005 comes with two in-deck storage compartments that fit five-gallon buckets, undergunwale rod storage for rods up to 9 feet long, and 122 quarts of standard cooler space.

Pathfinder says its team chose a 25-inch transom for higher freeboard and a 16-degree deadrise for bigger-water capability. Designers also shortened the aft casting deck to create more deep-cockpit space behind the leaning post.

The 2005 also comes with six dry-storage boxes, flip-up aft-deck seating and a second optional livewell beneath the forward console seat to join the standard 12-gallon well aft. At the helm, a standard 7-inch Garmin multifunction display integrates with Yamaha engine data, freeing up gauge space.

In factory testing, the 2005 with a Yamaha F115 reached a top speed of 40 mph at 5,950 rpm, achieving 3.16 mpg.
