New Boats at 2017 Fort Lauderdale Boat Show

Our editors walked the annual boat show this week to see what some top manufacturers had to display.

The Sport Fishing and Salt Water Sportsman editors walked the docks and floor for two days at the 2017 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, where some of the best new boats were featured. If you love looking at boats — especially new ones — then we’ve got you covered.

Blackfin 272 Center Console

Blackfin’s 27-foot-2-inch center console offers a full list of appealing standard features, including six pull-up seats and a large anchor storage area with an overboard drain and dedicated stern anchor slot. The boat holds 180 gallons of fuel and 21 gallons of water. Power-assisted steering, a removable bow-seating backrest, four gunwale and three transom rod holders and a Yeti carry-on cooler are a few more of the many appealing aspects of this boat, which can carry twin outboards totaling 600 horsepower.

Boston Whaler 240 Dauntless Pro

Sport Fishing was able to test the new 24-foot boat from Boston Whaler earlier this year. It features a 38-gallon livewell, a 9-inch Raymarine electronics and navigation package for the helm, a stereo system and an integrated tower with a second station that’s part of a redesigned console. The fuel tank can hold up to 90 gallons, and the Pro is powered by a white Mercury 350XL Verado Four-Stroke engine.

Cobia 320 Center Console

The 32-foot center console boat from Cobia on display at the show featured a hard-top design and grey hull color. The boat also specs out with a 275-gallon fuel tank, and can accommodate a Garmin electronics package and twin Yamaha F300XCA outboards.

EdgeWater 370cc

This new center console, just under 37 feet in length, can hold up to 385 gallons of fuel for long fishing trips offshore. A 187-square-foot cockpit area, Garmin electronics package, triple F300 Yamaha engines, wrap-around bow seating with a back rest, an advanced twin-step hull design and more add up to an impressive fishing machine.

Everglades’ new 32-foot center console turned a lot of heads this year. The boat can hold 306 gallons of fuel and comes with a 37-gallon livewell and a 131-square-foot cockpit. As for power, the boat can handle a maximum of 700 hp. Options include SeaStar Optimus 360 joystick steering, removable bow backrests, docking lights, additional cup and rod holders, an underwater camera and more.

Grady-White Freedom 325

The new 32-footer from Grady-White Boats is the next in its Freedom family. The boat includes two bow insulated fish boxes — 180 and 254 quarts — plus a 32-gallon livewell and four rod holders. The fuel tank holds 288 gallons, and the boat’s marine audio system includes two bow speakers and four hardtop speakers.

Intrepid 407 Panacea

The new 40-foot center console from Intrepid Powerboats features a 483-gallon fuel tank, a 60-gallon freshwater tank, a large cabin and an impressive amount of space in the cockpit.

Invincible 40 Cat

Invincible Boats’ new 40-foot multihull offshore boat made its (much-anticipated and slightly veiled) debut in Fort Lauderdale. The company shrouded the hull bottom with fabric so as not to give away all of its secrets. Designed by the multihull architects at Morelli & Melvin, the boat’s fuel tank can hold up to 800 gallons and features a coffin box, zero-degree turning, narrow gunwales for improved fishability and more.

Jupiter 25 Boca Grande

The new Boca Grande version of Jupiter’s 25 Bay — featuring all carbon-fiber construction — measures 26 feet without engines and can hold up to 90 gallons of fuel. Additional features include: teak floor, JL Audio stereo package, Garmin electronics package, and more. The boat’s propulsion comes from a Yamaha F300 four-stroke engine.

Mako 19 Pro Skiff

This new skiff boat from Mako features a 25-gallon livewell and two coolers — 772 quarts and 85 quarts — plus a forward-console seat with molded-in grab handles.

Pursuit DC 365

Pursuit’s new dual console is one inch shy of 38 feet long; its beam measures 12 feet. The 365 can carry 325 gallons of fuel and 42 gallons of fresh water. It can handle a maximum of 900 horsepower.

Robalo 242EX

This 24-foot boat can hold 150 gallons of fuel, comes with three insulated fish boxes in the bow and two insulated livewells with blue LED lights, a four-speaker stereo system, and more. The display boat was powered by a Yamaha F300 four-stroke.

Scout 355 LXF

Scout’s new 355 LXF, which replaces the 350 LXF, features updated stern seats, a three-person leaning post, center helm and a wider console with an updated cabin. In addition, Scout redesigned space to accommodate an optional Seakeeper 3 gyro. The 34-foot-11-inch center console holds up to 310 gallons of fuel and 23 gallons of fresh water. The display boat featured triple Mercury outboards (max horsepower is 1,050).

Sea Fox 248 Commander

This new center console for 2018 is 24 feet 4 inches long with an 8-foot-6-inch beam. It can hold up to 115 gallons of fuel and features a 30-gallon livewell. Max power is 300.

Yamaha 210 FSH Sport

Yamaha Boats’ new 21-foot jet boat comes with a long list of fishing amenities tailored for hardcore anglers. The boat’s fuel tank can hold up to 50 gallons and the T-top design features four rod holders, plus a cooler beneath the leaning post. There is console storage for rods and other gear, plus a customizable helm station and spacious bow seating. The boat has a maximum weight capacity of 2,250 pounds.

Yellowfin 21 Bay

The new bay boat — with a length of 21 feet, 9 inches — uses Yellowfin’s 21 Hybrid hull design and takes other attributes from the 24 Carbon Elite (CE) model. The 21 Bay features a broad bow casting platform with a forward step, a large aft casting deck with a 35-gallon baitwell and a 50-gallon fuel tank.
