Johnson Outdoors – owner of brands such as Humminbird and Minn Kota – brought its Geonav multifunction displays to the U.S. market in October. All of the company’s 10.4- and 12.1-inch displays use a simple, customizable user interface called BlueLogic, Geonav says. Anglers also choose their favorite cartography – Navionics or CMAP. GIS models ($3,699 and $4,699) link to multiple displays and can monitor vessel data using NMEA 2000 or 0183. Add the GSM 2000 black box ($999) for traditional sonar plus side/down imaging, or the GSM 1000 ($699) for standard, dual-frequency sonar. G models ($3,299 and $4,299) utilize one display and include a 2 kw sonar that features BackTrack Data Recall, integrates waypoints, and offers zoom and customizable palettes.
