The Manufacturers Association of Florida has named Crevalle Boats, in the central Florida town of Wildwood, as its 2017 Small Manufacturer of the Year. The MAF was organized in early 2006 to improve Florida’s manufacturing business climate. The organization comprises manufacturers and those who serve them.

Crevalle, a brand owned by Littoral Marine LLC, builds 24- and 26-foot bay boat models and a 26 Open center console. “Crevalle has found a balance for those who have a passion for inshore fishing in a premium family friendly boat. Crevalle boats are carefully engineered to make the most of the available space for both efficient fishing and comfort,” a company press release stated.

The MAF bases its award on leadership, strategic planning, customer and market focus, measurement, analysis and knowledge management, workforce focus, and process management, the company says. Competitors in the small-manufacturer category have 100 employees or fewer. Awards are also given for medium and large companies.
