I own at least 25 rod-and-reel combos, and I tend to forget who has what and where. To help keep track of what rod has which line and test and when it was last changed, I started writing info on self-adhesive address labels and sticking them on the reels. It peels right off when changing labels. Use a little clear fingernail polish to help waterproof it.
