Sliding Down the Line

How to make simple, inexpensive sliders for bottom fishing.

For years I've been making my own simple, inexpensive sliders for bottom fishing by inserting a 1-inch piece of 1/4-inch aquarium tubing through a 1/0 snap swivel.

These handy sliders work well for attaching weights on a slip-sinker rig, or for securing dropper hooks to a fish-finder rig. The practically indestructible tubing allows the swivel to ride up and down the line freely without damaging monofilament.
