Predator/Prey Rig for Fussy Dolphin

When dolphin swim around your boat but just won't bite, this rig is sure to get them.

When dolphin swim around your boat but just won't bite, this rig - which acts like a predator chasing its prey - is sure to get them.
You need two jigs (one smaller than the other), some mono leader and a swivel. Adding a bonito strip is optional.
Tie a 14-inch length of mono to the swivel. About 4 inches from the swivel, tie in a 24- to 30-inch length of mono using a blood knot, leaving the 10-inch tag end from the first piece of mono attached to the knot, forming two leaders.
Tie the smaller jig to the shorter leader and the larger jig to the longer leader. If you like, add a bonito strip to the larger jig.
This rig really arouses picky dolphin. I attach it to my spinner using a snap swivel so I can change rigs quickly and easily. It's most effective if reeled in quickly, jerking the line every few feet.
