After fumbling repeatedly for various tools while trying to rig new leaders, handle wriggling fish or bait multiple hooks, I finally found a cheap and easy way to keep those tools such as pliers, lip grippers or bait nets handy and ready. I buy an assortment of plastic clothespin-style hangers at the dollar store and hook them over the grab rail behind the leaning post. Clip the cord on the fishing tool into the clothespin, and you'll always know where to reach.
