Although you used to see them on football players all the time, non-glare strips work great for offshore fishing as well. Nowadays, instead of reaching into a smudge pot for anti-glare grease, you can use self-adhesive glare strips to get the same results. I've found that they not only improve my eyesight with polarized sunglasses but also prevent headaches from eyestrain due to squinting. One application stays on all day and won't sweat off or come unglued due to sunscreen. The non-glare strips are available in most major sporting goods stores.
