Reduce the rod clutter in your garage or tackle room with a simple, easy-to-make rod rack.

Reduce the rod clutter in your garage or tackle room with a simple, easy-to-make rod rack.
Cut an 8-foot two-by-four into two 4-foot lengths. To one piece, screw and glue a 3-foot-long block of Styrofoam. (Be sure to use a glue rated for Styrofoam or the foam will melt.) Cut vertical slits in the foam to grip the upper parts of the rods.
Mount the wood with the foam at a convenient height on the wall then attach the other two-by-four at the appropriate distance below it to support the rod butts.
