Anyone who fishes light line where the target species or substrates spell "abrasion" uses a lot of leader throughout the day. Capt. Blair Wiggins of Cocoa, Florida, who stalks for huge redfish in the shallows of the central Florida coast, needs to be able to yank off a couple feet of leader from a quarter-pound spool in a hurry but doesn't want to have it constantly unraveling and getting in the way. His solution: a soft-foam drink holder. Turns out these fit snugly around a standard quarter-pound spool of line, so you can pull off just as much as you need and, wherever you drop it, know that you won't have coils lying around later, or have to pull off a rubber band or untie a knot to get another piece.
