ISLAMORADA, Florida Keys — The Florida Keys are set to be one of 21 fishing meccas from around the globe to be featured Saturday, June 23, on a 24-hour livestream worldwide web special dubbed “World Fishing Day.”

Tarpon in Islamorada is the targeted species for Brazilian fishing television presenter Luana Pigatto and her husband Marcos. They are to fish with Captain Max Gaspeny during live segments to be broadcast from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. ET.

FishingTV.com, in partnership with the app Fishbrain, is organizing the video angling marathon to be hosted in a news-anchor-style format from a London studio.

Among other destinations set for live coverage are Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Italy, Texas, Canada, Alaska and Tampa.
