A new company but one with verified expertise at the helm, Bahama Boat Works introduces the Bahama 31. This quality center console comes to you from Scott Henley and Robert Sparks, the founders of Venture Marine. Many consider Venture one of the finest makers of semicustom, offshore fishing boats on the market today. Henley and Sparks have taken all they learned at Venture and improved upon it with the Bahama 31.

Sparks developed the lines for the 31, and both the design and lofting are generated via computer for exacting tolerances. Bahama Boat Works builds the gargantuan stringers and bulkheads using vacuum-bagging technology. Hull construction employs the finest materials available, from CCP Armorflex gelcoats with the highest UV resistance to vinylester resins for maximum protection from osmotic blistering. The 31’s hull also uses isophthalic resins for unsurpassed durability, Kevlar and biaxial fiberglass for strength, PVC foam coring in the topsides and a ceramic composite transom. All of this combined makes this boat structurally state of the art.

Other finer points include gelcoat finishes on both sides of all hatches and double-sealed pneumatic cylinders, which result in true watertight integrity. Bahama Boat Works recesses all latches and hinges and even uses blind fasteners wherever possible.

Anglers will enjoy the wide-open workspace from stem to stern. Two oversize fish boxes hide under the forward sole, and moving aft, Bahama places the fresh- and saltwater washdowns amidships to make cleaning the full length of the deck easier. Not only does the boat come standard with ample rod storage, but it also accepts as many rod holders in the length of the gunwales as you might fancy. A 60-gallon livewell seals to keep baits in veritable stasis while underway so they won’t be trashed by the time you get to a fishing hot spot. Spring and stern cleats hide under the gunwales with hawseholes above, and the transom also boasts a sink and rigging station and tuna door. Should you fish at night, the standard hardtop has three floodlights.

Bahama Boat Works mounts a pair of 275 hp Mercury Verado four-stroke outboards with digital electronic shift and throttle, as well as power-assist steering. Other power packages are also available.
