Yes, Virginia, halibut do swim in the North Atlantic. True, we've pretty much wiped out the leviathans of the flatfish world on this side of the big pond. But on the far side, they're alive and well. A Swedish fishing guide has really dialed in the sport fishery for Atlantic halibut on the northern coast of Norway, above the Arctic Circle. Sport Fishing went there in early August to check out this new fishery. Recreational fishermen have landed two halibut over 400 pounds in the past year - and lost bigger!
