SeaStar Solutions Sea Station Virtual Anchor Demo

New joystick feature allows fishermen to hold position and/or heading over reefs and wrecks or along rips.

SeaStar Solutions introduced its new Sea Station virtual anchor during a Scout Boats media event in mid-September. The new feature, demonstrated in this video aboard a Scout 275 XSF, allows fishermen to hold position and/or heading over structure when trying to fish wrecks or reefs. To use Sea Station, you must have SeaStar’s Optimus 360 joystick system aboard.

When you ask Sea Station to hold position (and not heading), the boat orients itself based on current or wind. This setting keeps the engines from working too hard. But if you need to hold heading, too, you can make that change with the push of a button.
