Guided by Otto Pervik, Kattem, Norway angler Knut Nilsen landed an Atlantic halibut, (Hippoglossus hippoglossus) on December 6, weighing 13.8 kg (30 lb 6 oz) on 4 kg (8 lb) class line. It took Nilsen 30 minutes to land while fishing off Trondheimsfjorden along the coast of Norway. He may beat the long-standing current IGFA men's line class record of 8 lb 0 oz (3.64 kg), caught on August 19, 1982 near Holsteinsborg, Greenland.
