The Rapala X-Rap was also the lure of choice for multi-record holder Stan Nabozny, of The Woodlands, Texas, USA, in his landing of a Guinean barracuda (Sphyraena afra) fishing Banjul, Gambia. The species was officially added on April 1 by the IGFA for line, fly and junior class records and that's the day Nabozny caught his. Guided by Bala Moses, he took 20 minutes to land the 7 kg (15 lb 7 oz) fish on 3 kg (6 lb) class line. He's the first to enter documentation for the men's line class record.
