Margot Vincent, Tequesta, Fla., USA, may have a new tippet record while fly fishing Pinas Bay, Panama. Guided by Epipano Candelo, she landed a skipjack tuna (Katsuwonus pelamis) on April 1 that weighed 4.25 kg (9 lb 6 oz) using 6 kg (12 lb) tippet. The current IGFA women's 12 lb tippet record is 4 lb 0 oz (1.81 kg) caught off Fajardo, Puerto Rico, Sept. 21, 2002.
