VIDEO: Mako Attacks Dredge

Watch a mako shark make short work of a natural dredge intended for tuna!

Anglers out of Ocean City, MD, were trolling for tuna in early July when a mako shark spotted their natural dredge. The boat Pumpin Hard was trolling a hookless baitfish dredge at 6 to 7 knots. That was no problem for the shortfin mako, capable of bursts of up to 45 miles per hour. A GoPro HD Hero 3 caught the mako systematically charging back to the dredge, chomping each baitfish from its wire.
