Surf fishing workshop to be held on Florida's Space Coast March 1

Surf fishing workshop to be held on Florida's Space Coast March 1

Captian Rodney Smith will be hosting a "Catching Made Easy" surf-fishing workshop on March 1 near Melbourne, Florida. This traveling workshop begins at Patrick Air Force Base at 8 am and continues south until it reaches Sebastian Inlet State Park southside between 12 - 1 pm.

"If you want to catch more pompano, snook, flounder and other gamefish from the Space Coast surf this is for you," Capt. Smith says. "We caravan in our vehicles, stopping at beach accesses and surf fishing hot spots along the way."

"These workshops focus surf fishing techniques, rigging, catching and preserving sand fleas, clams and other baits, understanding tides, accessing hot spots, presentation and a lot more to make you a better angler."

"Also they're geared to increase anglers productivity and enhancing their overall experience. Not only do the students learn the important steps to becoming better anglers they'll learn how to properly release fish, handled hooked birds and be wiser stewards of the resources."

The cost for this workshop is $50 and for more information or to sign up please call 321-777-2773 or e-mail rodney@coastalanglermagazine.com
