Team Century's Ozzie Fischer and Ozzie Lessinger won last week's Ft. Myers Beach Kingfish Shootout, partnering with local Century dealer, Wolcott Marine, and breaking a Southern Kingfish Association (SKA) record for the highest two-day aggregate weight for two fish.

On the first day of competition, the team brought to the scale a massive kingfish weighing 56.14 pounds, and taking an early lead in the heaviest fish tournament.  On the second day of the tournament, the team weighed in a 56.27-pound kingfish, giving the team the victory and breaking the SKA record.

With the victory, the team took home a $20,000 first place prize.  The team ended the two-day tournament with 56.27 points.  The team consisted of Fischer, Lessinger, Christian Fischer, Paul Michele and DJ Wood.  The SKA Division 11 sanctioned the tournament.

"The conditions were perfect with light wind and 80-degree weather," says Fischer.  "Our 3200 Century with twin Yamaha F350's allowed us to make a 70-mile run, averaging 59 mph.  We were the first boat on our spot, and without the speed and performance of our boat/engine package, we probably would not have won this tournament," Fischer says.

In addition to this win, Century claimed another victory, as Team Century's Keith Bird teamed up with Century's Slidell, Louisiana-based Boat Stuf, to win the CCA Louisiana Redfish Challenge.
