| NMFS: Mako shark overfished |

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) published a notification of stock status determination for the Atlantic shortfin mako shark on June 19, 2009 in the Federal Register. NMFS has determined that overfishing is occurring and the stock is approaching an overfished condition. Please see the attached Federal Register Notice for more information.
