Boats.com, NMMA announce judges for 2009 Web Awards
By NMMA
Fri, Jan 09, 2009

Today, Boats.com, www.boats.com, a division of Dominion Enterprises, and the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA), www.nmma.org, announced judges selected to evaluate entries in the 2009 North American Marine Industry Web Awards. They include: Jorian Clarke; Adam Heneghan; Larry Rains; and Fernando Regueiro.

Jorian Clarke is founder and CEO of SpectraCom, a Milwaukee-based interactive marketing agency focusing on strategic developments in market research, marketing, sales and electronic publishing. Since its establishment in 1991, Clarke's company has sought to provide solutions that have a measurable impact on business processes and sales. Clarke is frequently requested as a conference speaker by world-renowned organizations such as Internet World, Comdex, @dTech, ARF, DCI and others.

Adam Heneghan is president of Elevation, a Chicago-based digital agency that includes the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, Discover Boating and Orbitz as clients. Prior to founding Elevation in 2001, Heneghan was co-founder and president of Giant Step, an Internet professional services provider that worked with high-profile clients such as United Airlines, Proctor & Gamble and Lexis Nexis. Heneghan has previously served as a judge for various industry awards programs, including the International Advertising Festival in Cannes.

Larry Rains is marketing manager for Boats.com and YachtWorld.com. In this capacity, he is constantly focused on ways to improve both websites' effectiveness as lead generating tools for the marine industry. Rains is a regular presenter at industry events, helping educate yacht brokers regarding best practices for list creation and how to maintain an effective online presence. Prior to working with Boats.com and YachtWorld.com, Rains owned a web development company that specialized in creating easy-to-use and effective websites for small businesses both in the United States and Brazil.

Fernando Regueiro is the director of Internet Services for NMMA and leads the team responsible for development and maintenance of more than 45 websites under the NMMA umbrella. Regueiro also directly manages the development and coordination of online strategies for the largest marine industry initiative, Grow Boating.

To nominate a company or an individual, complete the online application on the Web Awards website, www.boats.com/nawebawards/index.html, which includes all relevant award information.  The deadline for applications is January 15, 2009.

Winning companies will hold their prestigious title for one year and will be announced in a special section in the April 2009 edition of Soundings Trade Only.
