New Website Save-Fish.com Promotes Fish Release

"We found some websites about fish release, but wanted one website that had information on why as well as how to release fish."

As part of its ongoing emphasis on fish conservation, MetroMedia Marketing, Inc., the parent company of “Ladies, Let’s Go Fishing!” University Series for Women, has launched a website on fish release. Created on behalf of the Switzerland-based Save Our Seas Foundation, Save-Fish.com details why and how to release fish.

CEO of MetroMedia Marketing, Betty Bauman, commented, “We found some websites about fish release, but wanted one website that had information on why as well as how to release fish.” The Save Our Seas Foundation also saw a need and provided support for the effort, which also includes a brochure.

Bauman added, “There are many ways to release fish depending on the size of the fish and the circumstances. The website covers many fish release methods, however ultimately it is up to the angler to decide which style works within their situation.”

“Ladies, Let’s Go Fishing!” Universities for women conducts occasional projects about fish conservation, an important part of the learning experience. The fish release website fit perfectly with their plans.

Commented Bauman, “This is a one-stop shop for information on why and how to release fish, focusing on sharks and rays, fish most susceptible to improper release yet important to the ocean’s ecology.”
