Charleston, South Carolina, January 18, 2006 --- JBM & Associates, LLC, producers of the 26th Annual Charleston Boat Show, January 27-29, have set the schedule for the biggest Boat Show & Sale in the Lowcountry to be held at the North Charleston Convention Center Complex & Coliseum.
The Charleston Boat Show, presented by Mercury Marine, will feature 86 exhibitors and more than 80 boat lines, representing the latest models of boats, many of them offered at discounted prices. Thirty of the region's leading dealers will showcase a myriad of powerboats including: sports cruisers, motor and express yachts, sport fishing boats, center console fishing boats, bass boats, bow riders, deck and aluminum boats, ski and pontoon boats, runabouts, bay boats, shallow water flat skiffs and family cruisers.
Exhibitors will feature an extensive assortment of the latest in marine and fishing products including; fishing tackle and accessories, marine electronics, boat lifts, dock systems, marine canvas and upholstery, and marine finance and insurance. "This Show is 'one stop shopping' and continues to gain popularity amongst boating and fishing enthusiasts as the 'must attend' boating event of the year," said Producer Jacqui McGuinness.
Besides hundreds of boats, the Show offers extensive education for fishing enthusiasts. Various fishing seminars will be presented by top local and regional fishing guides. The Show will also feature an "Ultimate Fishing Center" where Captains will be on hand to meet with people and give demonstrations on knot tying, fly tying and net casting, as well as valuable fishing tips. There will also be activities for children on Saturday and Sunday, including a Kids' Lure Building Class and a Kids' Fishing Center.
On Saturday, Caricaturist Tony Stewart will be drawing attendees between 12:00-3pm. And Steel Drummer, Vernon Grier, will be entertaining crowds both Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
The Show has joined forces with WEZL 103.5 and Q104.5, to host a board game BATTLESHIP contest on Saturday, between Noon-4pm, in the parking lot of the Convention Center. Attendees will have the opportunity to play the life size version of the popular Milton Bradley game Battleship to benefit the Lowcountry Food Bank. Prizes include a 9.9 Mercury Engine and an appearance on the Comcast Channel 2 South Carolina Outdoors Show featuring Carl Harrington.
