Boston Whaler Promotes Tim Gomez to the Position of Director of Customer Service and Quality

Boston Whaler, a business unit of Brunswick's Saltwater Boat Group, announced today that Tim Gomez, 38, has been promoted to the newly created position of director of customer service and quality. 

In his new role, Gomez will oversee the customer service and quality departments, as well as Lean Six Sigma and People Achieving Customer Expectation (PACE) initiatives.  He will report to John Ward, president of Boston Whaler.
 
A Brunswick employee for more two years, Gomez most recently served as manager of tooling and advanced technologies. Prior to that, he was supply quality leader with the Brunswick Boat Group Strategic Sourcing at its Cape Canaveral facility.

"Tim's expertise will greatly contribute to building better relationships with our dealer and retail customers," said Ward.  "His proven capabilities in process improvement and quality will undoubtedly add to Whaler's current talent".

Gomez holds a bachelor's degree in industrial technology and an Industrial Technology master's of science industrial technology from East Carolina University, Greenville, N.C., as well as a master's degree in manufacturing business management from Cambridge University, England.  He is also a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
